Partnerships
  

ZAWA continues to collaborate and enjoying some support from its cooperating partners.  A number of partners have contributed to ZAWA in the fields of emergency support; capacity building; infrastructure development, research, monitoring and planning.

Special tributes are given to the following current cooperating partners amongst the many;

  1. World Bank (Capacity building in Kafue and Mosi-oa-tunya National Parks),
  2. Danish Assistance Development Agency (Community Based Natural Resources Management in Mumbwa and Namwala Districts and Capacity Building in Lower Zambezi National Park including the surrounding GMAs),
  3. The Royal Government of Norway, formerly Norwegian Agency for Development - NORAD (Resource Protection, CBNRM, Infrastructure and Institutional Capacity Development and Research / Monitoring in South Luangwa, Kafue and Lower Zambezi National Parks and their surrounding GMAs),
  4. African Wildlife Foundation (Landscape Planning, Research / Monitoring & Wildlife Management in Lower Zambezi National Park and its surrounding areas),
  5. Frankfurt Zoological Society (Resource Protection and Research / Monitoring in North Luangwa National Park),
  6. Kasanka Trust – UK (Resource Protection, Research / Monitoring),
  7. Peace Parks – Transfrontier Conservation Areas Initiative (Resource Protection and Research / Monitoring in border areas comprising Nyika and Lukusuzi National Parks)
  8. African Parks (Resource Protection in Liuwa National Park
  9. United Nations Development Programme – EPNRM (Resource Protection and Capacity Building in Nsumbu, Mweru wa Ntipa and Lusenga Plains National Parks, and
  10. Japanese International Cooperation Agency (Research and Capacity Building).
We employ the partners to continue extending their hand of support to ZAWA to lighten up the burden and challenges of nature and wildlife conservation!
